ActiveSync Installation Instructions

 

You may find it easier to print the instructions so you can refer to them whilst installing the software.

Please ensure your RAC Satnav 220 is fully charged before attempting the instructions below.

NB. If ActiveSync is already installed on your computer there is no need to complete this step. To check if ActiveSync is already installed click on the 'Start' button in the bottom left hand corner of your screen, select programs and look for a program entitled Microsoft ActiveSync in the list that appears.

 

1. When you click on the 'Download here' link in step 2 for the "Download & Install Microsoft ActiveSync" program a popup window will appear (as below)   click open.

2. Once downloaded an window will appear (below). Click next.

3. Click next in the next screen to appear.

4. Depending on your version of Windows you may be asked to restart your computer (as below), if so click next.

5. Turn on your RAC Satnav 220 and wait for the opening menu screen to appear.
Now connect your RAC220 to your computer via the USB cable and press next.
ActiveSync will automatically detect your device.    

6. Once the RAC220  has been connected via the USB cable and turned on the following screen will appear, press cancel.

7. Once pressed a dialogue box will appear (as below) press ok. The RAC220 is now connected to your PC.

8. ActiveSync is now connected.
You can now use the active sync software to copy MP3 music to your RAC Satnav 220..
