RAC Satnav 220 Driver Installation Instructions (Windows 98)

 

You may find it easier to print the instructions so you can refer to them whilst installing the software.

Please ensure your RAC Satnav 220 is fully charged before attempting the instructions below.

You may notice that the driver is referred to as the RC400 driver, the RC400 driver is a compatible with the RAC unit and we will be using for this installation.

 

 

1. Click on the 'Download here' link in step1 for the 'Download & Install RAC Satnav 220 Driver'. When a popup window (below) appears select 'Run this program from it's current location' and click OK.

   

 

2. Another window will appear (shown below) click "Yes".

   

 

3. Once the file has been opened another window will appear (shown below). Click the unzip button, this will extract the files to your computer in the location  " c:\rc400driver ". 

   

Once extracted a confirmation message will appear (shown below),  you may now close the extractor by clicking the close button.

   

 

4. Turn on and connect your RAC Satnav 220 and wait for the opening menu screen to appear. Now connect the 220 unit to your computer via the USB cable. Once connected a screen such as the one below will appear, click next.

       


 

5. A further screen will appear click the 'Search for the best driver for you device' button and click next.

   

 

6. On the next screen click the 'Specify a location' checkbox and type "C:\RC400Driver"  in the textbox below. Once this has been done the screen should look as below, click next.

   

 

7. On the following screens click next and then finish.

   

   


 

8. The installation is now complete.   Proceed to step 2, "Download & Install Active Sync".
